On March 25, 2026, the founding meeting of the first sub-committee on filtering and separation textile materials of the National Technical Committee for Industrial Textiles (SAC/TC606/SC2) (hereinafter referred to as the "National Sub-committee on Filtering and Separation Textile Materials") was held in Guangzhou. The meeting was hosted by Guangzhou Inspection, Testing and Certification Group Co., Ltd., the organizing unit of the secretariat. The convening of this meeting marks that the standardization construction in the field of filtering and separation textile materials in China has entered a new stage, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development and upgrading of the industry. 

Li Lingshen, Vice President of the China Textile Industry Federation; Liu Yongtan, a third-level researcher in the Standardization Department of the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration; Li Guimei, President of the China Industrial Textile Products Association; Fang Pengfei, Deputy Director of the Standardization Department of the Guangzhou Market Supervision Administration; Li Yuhao, Chief Engineer of the China Industrial Textile Products Association; Guo Dan, former Director of the First Review Department of the National Market Supervision Administration's National Standards Technical Review Center; Wang Guojian, Director of the Standardization Department of the Science and Technology Department of the China Textile Industry Federation; Party Hua, General Manager of Guangzhou Inspection and Testing Certification Group Co., Ltd.; Deng Suixing, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Inspection and Testing Certification Group Co., Ltd.; and over 60 representatives from universities, research institutions and manufacturing enterprises attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Feng Wen, Deputy Director of SAC/TC606/SC2, and President of Guangtian College of Guangdian Group Co., Ltd. 

Anchor the national strategy and draw up the blueprint of standards 

Li Lingshen, the vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, delivered a speech, elaborating on the strategic significance and development direction of the establishment of the sub-committee. He stated that the establishment of the sub-committee is an important milestone in the construction of the standardization system for industrial textiles in China, and will effectively promote the high-quality development of the filtration and separation materials industry. He expressed his hope that the sub-committee will carry out various tasks in five aspects: anchoring the national strategic direction, strengthening the foundation of basic research, adhering to the demand orientation, benchmarking against international advanced levels, and strengthening the foundation of the sub-committee's construction. This will effectively address the shortcomings in the industry's development and provide important support for building a manufacturing power and a standard power. 

Mr. Peng Xiaoting, Director of the Standard Technology Management Department of the National Standardization Administration Committee, delivered a speech at the conference in audio form. He pointed out that textile materials for filtration and separation are a key area that supports the reduction of emissions and carbon dioxide in traditional industries and the development of emerging industries. They play a prominent role in the "dual carbon" goals. Currently, there are issues such as the lack of standards and lagging standards, as well as inconsistent detection methods in this field. The establishment of the sub-technical committee will improve the standard system and solve the bottlenecks in industry development. It is hoped that the sub-technical committee will strengthen institutional construction, mechanism construction, capacity building and style building to help the industry develop towards higher-end, intelligent and green directions, and contribute to building a standardized and quality power country. 

Based on the advantages of Guangdong, we will gather the efforts of all parties. 

Liu Yongtan, a third-level researcher in the Standardization Department of the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Bureau, delivered a speech at the conference, conveying the sincerity and responsibility of Guangdong Province as the "host" of the secretariat. He stated that the National Technical Committee for Filter and Separation Textile Materials has been established in Guangdong, which has a solid industrial foundation and prominent geographical advantages. The local regulatory authorities will increase investment in areas such as policy support, financial guarantee, and talent support, and will continue to exert efforts in terms of business guidance and service support, to provide comprehensive support for the smooth operation of the technical committee's various tasks. 

In his speech, Dang Hua, the general manager of Guangzhou Inspection, Testing and Certification Group Co., Ltd., expressed his firm confidence and determination in fulfilling the responsibilities of the secretariat, and clearly deployed four key tasks: First, strengthen coordination and ensure efficient operation; second, optimize service support to lay a solid foundation; third, improve system construction to enhance standard quality; fourth, promote dissemination and implementation to facilitate成果转化. This will provide solid support for the efficient operation of the National Technical Committee for Filter and Separation Textile Materials. 

Clarify the organizational structure and embark on a brand new journey 

Subsequently, Wang Guojian, the director of the Technology Department and Standards Division of the China Textile Industry Federation, read out the announcement from the National Standardization Administration Committee regarding the establishment of the National Technical Committee for Industrial Textiles and the Sub-Technical Committee for Filtering and Separation Textile Materials. The first National Sub-Committee for Filtering and Separation Textile Materials (SAC/TC606/SC2) consists of 51 members. Li Yuhao serves as the chairperson, Feng Wen, Liu Jingxian, and Liu Feifei are deputy chairpersons, Zhu Ruiding is a member and secretary-general, Huang Jingying is a member and deputy secretary-general, and the secretariat is undertaken by Guangzhou Inspection, Testing and Certification Group Co., Ltd. 

At the meeting, the leaders and guests presented the membership certificates to the members of the sub-committee. The meeting also reviewed the draft of the sub-committee's charter, the draft of the working rules of the secretariat, and the draft of the work plan, laying a solid foundation for the standardized and institutionalized operation of the sub-committee.
